Changing it Up – Daily Goals

In trying to get myself back to a routine, I find it tough to get consistency when I have been without for such a long time now. So, I am going to try something new, for me; daily fitness goals.

What are Daily Fitness Goals?

You could argue that the definition is any goal you set on a daily basis and you would be correct. However, the idea behind this is that you complete your goal throughout your day. Of course you can complete it all in one shot. However, this is designed for people who just don’t have time for a longer workout or are struggling to get back into routines.

What will I do?

So, for many, the X challenges are pretty common. For example, push-up challenge for 30 days, where you do an increasing amount of push-ups everyday until you hit a certain number at the end.

For me, I am looking at push-ups and squats x 100 each per day. I am starting with this because I can do this throughout the day while at work and then at home. I figure if I shoot for getting some every hour or so, when I am not in meetings, then I should be able to get pretty close to 100 each, if not meet that total each day.

My timeline is starting today, and going for a month. I have ideas for more if I can successfully complete this one.

How I will Track

In an ideal world, I will create a post that I will update daily with what I completed. And that WILL be my plan. But things come up, so I will do my best. Once I get through the 30 days, I’ll write up how things went and any benefits I saw. I will do this regardless of my success; but hey, positive thinking here…I am going to get this done!
